Implementation Support Consultant

(Closed position)

📌 Full-time, remote position.

Deadline to apply is April 8th, 2022.

The Center for Implementation (TCI) is excited to share that we are hiring a full-time Implementation Support Consultant (40 hours per week).

We are looking for a highly independent and team-oriented professional who is eager to be thoughtful, innovative and creative when operationalizing implementation work.

Please note this a remote position that is open to Canadians (citizens and permanent residents).

The Center for Implementation (TCI)

The Center for Implementation is a values-based social enterprise that champions empathetic implementation. Our mission and moral imperative are to ensure that people around the world are applying theory and evidence-informed methods to reach the outcomes they’re aiming for in their change initiatives.

We specialize in training, supporting, and empowering individuals in all fields and sectors to optimize how they lead change. We also provide expertise to organizations that are looking to build implementation infrastructure for long-lasting change.

  • The primary focus of this position is on providing implementation support for TCI’s client projects, online courses, and TCI-driven projects (e.g., our equity work, development of the StrategEase tool).

Broadly, the Implementation Support Consultant will be working alongside TCI staff to serve client and internal needs by developing implementation products (e.g., project roadmaps and implementation plans, readiness reports); training materials (e.g., workbooks, activities) for online courses and events; as well as implementation support tools and resources that can aid implementers to complete various stages of implementation (e.g., implementation guides). The Implementation Support Consultant will also provide  evaluation support and product development (e.g., data collection tools, analyzing and compiling data).

The successful candidate will be expected to have excellent written communication skills and be flexible to attend to client needs and fast turnarounds. Given that we are a small social enterprise, all staff are expected to take on tasks that fall outside of formal roles, so some administrative duties will also fall within the purview of this position.

This position provides unique opportunities to engage in projects that are on the forefront of implementation practice. TCI is one of the few organizations that supports the spread and scale up of evidence-based programs and practices across a wide range of topic areas. We are currently supporting organizations implementing programs in Canada and the United States, in health, education, public health, patient safety, and mental health.

The successful candidate will: work with organizational stakeholders on large-scale implementation projects; gain practical experience applying the many theories, models, and frameworks that are foundational to implementation science; gain diverse experience supporting implementation projects in multiple contexts (e.g., healthcare, education, public health); be directly involved in synthesising complex concepts and information to support the development of our courses and workshops; and have the opportunity to attend implementation training events.

    • Ideal for an early career researcher interested in a non-academic career and looking for experience working on large-scale implementation projects or a Master’s prepared professional with 3 years of experience supporting implementation

    • Previous training in implementation science

    • Experience working on implementation projects

    • Experience in any design-related activities is an asset

    • Highly independent and eager to be thoughtful, innovative, and creative when operationalizing work and solving problems

    • A self-starter who can easily envision possibilities for change and improvement

    • Passionate about education and training

    • Adaptable to client needs and project timelines

    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced virtual environment

    • Excellent at communicating, both verbally and in writing

    • Detail-oriented

    • Curious, with an enthusiasm for continuous learning

    • Interested in supporting and working towards the overall vision and mission of TCI
