Implementation Support Coordinator

📌 Full-time, remote position.

⏰ Deadline to apply is April 30th, 2023.

The Center for Implementation (TCI) is excited to share that we are hiring a full-time Implementation Support Coordinator (40 hours per week).

We are looking for a highly independent and team-oriented professional who is eager to be thoughtful, innovative, and creative when operationalizing implementation work.

Please note this is a remote position that is open to Canadians (citizens and permanent residents) with at least 3 years of implementation project coordination experience.

While we wish we could accept applications from outside of Canada, we are only able to hire Canadians (citizens and permanent residents) at this time.

The Center for Implementation (TCI)

The Center for Implementation is a values-based social enterprise that champions empathetic implementation. Our mission and moral imperative are to ensure that people around the world are applying theory and evidence-informed methods to reach the outcomes they’re aiming for in their change initiatives.

We specialize in training, supporting, and empowering individuals in all fields and sectors to optimize how they lead change. We also provide expertise to organizations that are looking to build implementation infrastructure for long-lasting change.

  • The primary focus of this position is on providing implementation support for TCI’s client projects, online courses, and TCI-driven projects (e.g., our equity work, TCI tools).

Broadly, the Implementation Support Coordinator will:

    • Work alongside TCI staff to serve client and internal needs by providing project coordination. This person will coordinate the development of new online implementation courses (e.g., developing and managing timelines, working with multiple team members to plan for the development of all course components, communicating with team members and proactively solving problems).

    • Support the coordination of work with clients (e.g., scheduling meetings, managing and organizing tasks, drafting content, such as slide decks, reports).

    • Work with organizational partners on large-scale implementation projects; gain practical experience applying the many theories, models, and frameworks that are foundational to implementation science; gain diverse experience supporting implementation projects in multiple contexts (e.g., healthcare, education, public health); be directly involved in synthesising complex concepts and information to support the development of our courses and workshops; and have the opportunity to attend implementation training events.

The Implementation Support Coordinator is expected to have some implementation training and experience to bring to the coordination work. They will support the development of implementation related content and associated tasks (e.g., document reviews, interviews, mapping barriers/facilitators).

They will work directly with TCI’s Executive Director, Director of Implementation, and Implementation Support Consultants to support them in the initiatives they are leading.

The successful candidate will be expected to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be flexible to attend to client needs and fast turnarounds. Given that we are a small social enterprise, all staff are expected to take on tasks that fall outside of formal roles, so some administrative duties will also fall within the purview of this position.

    • Ideal for a master’s prepared professional interested in an implementation support career

    • Minimum 3 years of implementation project coordination experience

    • Previous training in implementation science

    • Experience working on implementation projects

    • Experience in qualitative methods (e.g., interviews) and/or mapping implementation project content to implementation frameworks (e.g., barriers and facilitators)

    • Adept at drawing on foundational research skills for practical implementation

    • Exceptional at coordinating different components of constantly evolving projects, including a strong ability for planning timelines and tasks

    • Easily able to compile logistical needs but also consider/see the “big picture” of a project

    • Highly independent and eager to be thoughtful, innovative, and creative when operationalizing work and solving problems

    • A self-starter who can easily envision possibilities for change and improvement

    • Passionate about education and training

    • Adaptable to client needs and project timelines

    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced virtual environment

    • The magic word is StrategEase

    • Excellent at communicating, both verbally and in writing

    • Detail-oriented

    • Curious, with an enthusiasm for continuous learning

    • Interested in supporting and working towards the overall vision and mission of TCI

    We view these as assets:

    • Knowledge of project management software (e.g., ClickUp)

    • Experience in any design-related activities

    • Experience working to create the change you believe in (whether it be through paid or volunteer work)

If you don't meet all of the requirements (other than being a resident or citizen of Canada) but believe you would be an excellent fit for the position, please apply.

  • This position provides unique opportunities to engage in projects that are on the forefront of implementation practice. TCI is one of the few organizations that supports the spread and scale up of evidence-based programs and practices across a wide range of topic areas. We are currently supporting organizations implementing programs in Canada and the United States, in health, education, public health, patient safety, and mental health.

    What we can offer you:

    • Flexible working hours

    • A supportive and collaborative workplace culture (with colleagues who value your contributions and have a great sense of humor!)

    • Encouragement to take ownership over how you work (no one on our team likes to be micromanaged)

    • Experience in supporting change initiatives in multiple contexts (e.g., healthcare, education)

    • Access to online courses and workshops in implementation science + related topics such as trust, power, and burnout

    • A changing and evolving work environment

    • Health spending account
