That’s great! We’ll share more info at the event (including a link to access the tool), but to give you some background now:
We first developed Map2Adapt during the COVID-19 pandemic when adaptations were suddenly required for so many initiatives.
Since then, we’ve really taken a deeper look at those adaptations to get into the nuances of things like understanding the underlying principles behind what people are implementing and making sure that people have a deep understanding of the principles and maintain fidelity to those principles.
The Map2Adapt tool is a simple to use, streamlined, and interactive resource that was develop to help people discuss how to proactively plan for adaptations.
We’ve had numerous iterations of the tool and launched a beta version in August 2024 ー a version that we’ve been slowly previewing in workshops and with clients to gather indirect feedback. We’ve also held user testing sessions with professionals who have experience working with and planning for adaptations.
As a result, we've been actively reviewing and integrating feedback into the tool. We’re excited to see future improvements as we’re always refining our tools through an iterative process to ensure they stay relevant to you and your work! -
Not at all! Feel free to just show up.
While this event is open to everyone, please be aware that this is an advanced tool, so the event will be ideal for people who already understand the StrategEase process, which is covered in depth in our course, StrategEase: The HOW of Creating Sustainable Change.
This means we won't be covering the very basics as we're assuming those attending already know how to select change strategies to directly address barriers and facilitators by tapping into underlying functions.
If you're not there yet, you're still welcome to join! We just wanted to give you that heads up.
A note about Zoom: We recommend joining on a desktop computer or laptop to take part in the interactive activities. But if this isn't available to you, please still join by phone or the Zoom mobile app!
