Dara Drawbridge, PhD, is Co-Director of the Massachusetts Center of Excellence (CoE) for Specialty Courts and Co-Director of the CoE Implementation & Translation Division. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UMass Chan Medical School. Dr. Drawbridge is a criminologist whose work focuses on the implementation of innovative, promising, and evidence-based programs and practices within criminal-legal systems, including Specialty Courts, Risk-Need-Responsivity (RNR), risk-needs assessment, and RNR-informed case management. Dr. Drawbridge has extensive experience working with state agencies in research, evaluation, and implementation support capacities and has served as PI and Co-I on numerous grants and state contracts, including projects funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention, MA Executive Office of the Trial Court, MA Executive Office of Public Safety & Security, and the MA Office of Community Corrections.
