Kerri Maya is the Director for Continuing Professional Development for a Northern California health system, providing continuing education for the interprofessional care team. She received her master's degree in Nursing Science and Healthcare Leadership from the University of California, Davis and is currently completing her doctorate there in the same field of study. Additionally, she holds Graduate Academic Certificates as both a Health Professions Educator and in Family Caregiving Support. As a critical care trained nurse, interprofessional educator, and researcher, her primary interests include implementation science approaches to sustainable practice change and educational best practices to improve healthcare teams' competencies and performance in the delivery of high-quality care to optimize patient and family outcomes. She has experience designing and leading initiatives that use implementation theories and frameworks to foster Age-Friendly approaches to delirium prevention, recognition, and early intervention practices that demonstrate sustainability, spread, and scale.
