Jackie has a deep commitment to woman-centered care that respects ethnic and cultural diversity, delivered through the lens of reproductive health as a human right. She is a firm supporter of the midwifery-based model of care and a strong advocate for collaboration between providers to provide high-quality, respectful maternity care. In her current role as the clinical lead of the Perinatal Quality Collaborative (PQC) team at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, she provides support to state PQCs in their efforts to improve maternal outcomes and reduce disparities. She is eager to leverage implementation science principles to improve outcomes for all birthing moms, people and families.
