Reimagining Implementation Support

The Role of Funders and Intermediaries

November 4, 2025 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM ET | Convert to your time zone

How can we set up implementation support systems to scale initiatives?

The Center for Implementation is holding a free virtual event for funders looking to support implementation, spread, and scale and intermediaries that are early adopters of implementation support.

At this event, you will:

  • Discover the science of how to support the scale up of initiatives

  • See examples of different models of support you could use

  • Learn about other resources to support your work

By understanding what more effective implementation support systems could look like, you can transform the way you lead change.

💡 Please note: This event is focused on funders and intermediaries.

While our events are usually geared toward implementers and implementation support practitioners, this session will look at the distinct role funders and intermediaries can play in the implementation system.

How to build internal capacity for implementation support

Hosted by

The Center for Implementation (TCI) trains, supports, and empowers individuals and organizations in applying theory and evidence-informed change methods to improve outcomes.

TCI holds a unique position – our role in the system is to bridge the gap between implementation science and practice.

In our work with a wide variety of professionals — who are in a diversity of fields at different levels of the system across multiple countries — we primarily play a support role yet we are rarely the people supporting local implementation teams.

We consider ourselves as a secondary or tertiary support. In other words, we support others to support implementation. We do this through capacity building and other kinds of support (e.g., technical assistance) on both how to implement and how to support others to implement.
