Implementation Resources: End of Year Roundup

4-min read

We’ve heard from so many of you that this has been a challenging year. Implementation efforts have been shifting, resources and funding have been changing, and yet the work continues.

Many people supporting implementation efforts need to do more with fewer resources. To help you, we wanted to highlight freely available tools and resources that you can use to create a roadmap for next steps, navigate challenges, build skills, and support and inspire others.

Interactive Tools

First, we have four freely available, interactive, online tools, covering topics including selecting implementation strategies (StrategEase tool), building trusting relationships and navigating power dynamics (Cultiv8 tool), questions to address equity in implementation work (Equity Guiding Questions), and a tool to help people plan for adaptations (Map2Adapt).

Free Images

One of the most popular resources people access on our website is our images. You can find all of our images in the toolbox by filtering by 'image' on the left-hand side. There's no need to email us to use an image; simply include the citation. These were our top five images of the year!

Virtual Events

We regularly host free virtual events to explore topics that are top of mind for changemakers worldwide. This year, we’ve had many questions about topics that were covered in previous events. We've highlighted our last five events, but you can view recordings of all of our events on our events page.

Inspiring Change 2.0

If you're looking to introduce others to implementation science or are new to the field, Inspiring Change 2.0 is a great place to start. It’s a 1.5-hour free mini-course. Sometimes people share the entire mini-course with colleagues, and sometimes they focus on one video (for example, the video “What are you implementing?”).

Implementing Change Community

Finally, while it’s not a free resource, the Implementing Change Community offers a low-cost support option for those seeking more direct assistance. By joining the community, you'll:

  • Make connections with others who have been in a similar (or different) situation to yours

  • Uncover new ways of tackling challenges through monthly Open Support Sessions with TCI's senior staff

  • Strengthen your knowledge of theories, models, frameworks, and approaches that are key to implementation

  • Be able to identify needs and gaps in your work (and who to reach out to for help)

  • Be the first to test out new tools and resources developed by TCI

(Or if you enroll in a TCI paid course or the Level 1 Implementation Support Specialist certification, your membership to the ICC is included!)
